Position Description

Currently looking for a Cloud DevOps + Elastic Engineer to join a growing team, with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in Canada.

 

The individual will own the following responsibilities:

• • Automate provision of Elastic search service and ensure Elastic search service is able to provision Elasticsearch clusters as needed by app teams
  • Ensure that Elastic service has full observability and monitoring to ensure expected levels of service
  • Ensure that Elastic service meets availability and disaster recovery needs
  • Ensure that Elastic service supports the ability to be provisioned via AKS platform and Core Pipeline products (Terraform Enterprise and GitHub).
  • Participate in Day 2 operational needs such as service maintenance and incident/support response
  • Promote automation and infrastructure best practices
  • Design and implementation of highly available, scalable and resilient applications both for cloud-native and non-cloud technologies stack
  • Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implementation and stabilization phases of the project.
  • Manage all aspects of testing and verification, ensuring all tasks are performed for all interfaces.

Your experience and education

Must have:

• A passion for making developers more efficient through DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
• 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure Automation and Infrastructure as Code (Azure)
• 3+ years of experience with developing Terraform modules
• 3+ years of experience with Azure networking and security
• 3+ years of experience with Elastic search deployment and configuration in a cloud environment
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, Artifactory
• Experience with container platforms.  Ideally, Azure Kubernetes and/or Docker
• Communication skills necessary to work on a geographically distributed team.

• MS Azure certification
• Experience developing software
• Experience working in a SAFe, Kanban, or Scrum development methodology
